EXPERIENCING EXCELLENCE IN LIFE – Part 3

Praise the Lord!

Welcome to your week of all round visitation and sudden transformations in the name of Jesus!

We shall be continuing in our series captioned Experiencing Excellence in Life and we be focusing on the force of DISCIPLINE.

Let’s look at what Paul says:

“Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for mastery is temperate in all things.” – 1Cor 9:24-26

Recognize that everyone in the pursuit of Excellence in life and destiny will always see himself as a man in a race. This is because the understanding of being in a race is a force that empowers everyone for commitment and this is a function of discipline. - Phil 3:14

Also understand that, you cannot be committed and not be productive and you cannot be productive and not be successful and you cannot be outstandingly successful and not become Excellent. 1Cor 15:10

Moreover, to be temperate in all things is a major quality required. That is, in everything, have moderation and self-restraint in your pursuit of excellence.

Recognize that individuals with excellence in view, don’t go everywhere, eat everything, compare themselves with others; their focus per time is how to attain their vision of excellence. That is why Paul the Apostle said, if mastery (becoming excellent) is the focus, then discipline must be the watchword.–Phil 3:13/2Cor 10:12

Furthermore, he said that “I therefore run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air.”- 1Cor 9:25

That is, it is not just enough just to run but run with focus, discipline and more importantly, run with the aim of finishing great and strong – Phil 3:8/ 1Cor 9:27

In conclusion, let us acknowledge that there is a seed of excellence in us but it will never automatically emerge, it requires a drive. This week, be determined to pursue excellence in everything you do and the excellent God will cause you excel in Jesus’ name.

May we all excel in life in Jesus’ name.

Remain ever blessed.

Jesus is Lord!
